Garry and Joanne welcome you to Hotel Berwick The Queen's Head. This relaxed small hotel is situated in the centre of the old town. Berwick-upon-Tweed is an ideal base from which to explore North Northumberland and the Scottish Borders.
Restaurant Berwick
Having been at the Queens Head Hotel for five years now, we and our staff feel proud about our reputation for good food and fine wines.
According to the season we source local produce such as local lobsters, crab, langoustines and a range of wild game. As you can see from our sample menus we try to do things differently and change the menu almost daily. So you’ll always be in for a surprise.
After an active day in Berwick-upon-Tweed relax in your hotel room. Our rooms were recently refurbished with all the usual facilities and a little bit more. They all have private ensuite bathrooms, toiletries, large bath sheets, power showers and heated towel rails.
Queens Head Rooms
In the bedrooms we offer tea, coffee, hot chocolate, biscuits, bottled water, jelly beans and a small fruit bowl. Hair dryers, irons and ironing boards are provided for each room. The rooms are all centrally heated and have portable heaters for individual use. All beds have continental quilts with spare blankets and pillows provided.
We have two family rooms with substantial chair beds for children or adults and we also have a cot with bedding.
We are always improving the standard of our rooms. We recently installed new lcd televisions into each room.
Berwick-upon-Tweed is the most northerly town in England, only a mile from the Scottish Border. Over in Scotland, the Border Country is famous for its hospitality and many a day can be spent touring the border towns such as Coldstream, Duns, Kelso and Melrose all within easy reach of Berwick-upon-Tweed.
