The Berwick-upon-Tweed (Goswick) Club is the outstanding Links Course
in the County of Northumberland and the Borders. Founded in 1864, the
original nine holes were laid out by the famous Golf Architect James Braid
and extended to 18 in 1890. In 1964, the first 9 holes were modified by
Frank Pennick to give added yardage and remains much the same today. Goswick's
main selling point is the fact that it has an abundance of unusual features
created from the landscape itself.

Seven miles south of Berwick-upon-Tweed, this is a traditional links
course which provides a strong test of your skills. The Club has been
selected to host the Open Championship Regional Qualifying Competition
from 2008.
It is rarely badly affected by poor weather and is therefore playable
throughout the whole year. During Winter, play is always to the full greens,
and mats are not used on fairways. It is a members' club but visitors
are welcome to play any day. It is always wise to telephone to check availability.
A well-stocked professional's shop is to be found close to the first
tee. There is a full sized Driving Range, Practice Pitching Green with
Bunkers and a Practice Putting Green. There is also a smaller but popular
Practice Area allowing shots up to 250 yards to a Practice Green.
