The Ostrich Inn has three rooms available for bed and breakfast throughout
the year comprising of two King size rooms and one twin room which are
all en-suite including shower, toilet and wash basin. We endeavour to
provide our guests with as much independence as possible during their
stay; all the rooms have independent access and contain kitchenettes.
The two king size rooms are on the first floor and the twin is on the
ground floor with easy access. We supply you with all the makings for
a traditional cooked English breakfast including local bacon and sausages,
eggs, bread, fresh orange juice, milk and range of cereals.
Our menus offer something for all tastes and wherever possible we use
local seasonal produce. All the lamb and pork used in the restaurant is
reared locally at Simon’s fathers farm ‘Compton Hall’ in South Creake.
Seasonal foods include Brancaster mussels, Cromer crab, marsh samphire
and locally farmed asparagus.
The Ostrich Inn is ideally located in the heart of north Norfolk, with
rolling countryside and within easy reach of market towns, bird reserves
and mile of glorious beaches. The Norfolk coastline is owned and protected
by the National trust and its diversity ranges from mud flats, shingle
and golden sands each with its own beauty. The mud creeks of Stiffkey
and Morston lead you through samphire fields and wild bird reserves. Cley’s
shingle beach bank is one of the largest along this coast which stretches
as far as the eye can see. The golden sand that links Holkham beach (our
favourite) to Wells beach is a great escape.
