Parkhead is a former station master's house which has been sympathetically
restored by owners Terry and Lorraine Turnbull to provide Bed & Breakfast
& Tea Rooms with added attractions such as a Photographic/Art Gallery,
Artwork, railway memorabilia also artefacts to test your knowledge. The
Parkhead is situated in Stanhope County Durham.
Parkhead stands approx.1500 feet above sea level in the Northern Pennines
in County Durham (designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty) Parkhead
Station marks the 100 mile point on the renowned Coast 2 Coast long distance
cycle route on the traffic free section of the Waskerly Way and all down
hill to the end! Fantastic for all mountain bike and outdoor lovers.
Literature and Tourist Guides of the Northern Pennines are available
in our Tea Rooms and Bed Rooms; of course we would be more than happy
to help you plan your outings with our local knowledge.

There is a Guest Lounge to unwind in the evenings, or summer evenings
you can enjoy the beautiful outdoor surroundings taking in the views of
the Northern Pennines Moorland, or just simply chill out with a glass
of wine watching the fantastic sunsets, followed by star gazing into the
spectacular night sky the use of a telescope for star gazing while staying
at the B&B is available.
